shadowfrog's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE FIRST ANIME CON OF CHRISTINE! (with a lot of O.Os) ..... O.O ...... WOW! I just got back from an Anime Convention! YAH! MY FIRST ONE! .... it was so awesome... I went with Jamie and Sephora (who is ellis, btw. i'm just calling her sephora, cuz.. well, I'm getting there. So, I left at about 11:00 and we stopped at a Bagel place and then went to The Purple Hotel (yeah... weird...). We were on our way in and we KNEW this was an anime con. Half the people were wearing totally gothic clothing with freaky hair and chains and stuff. The other half were either wearing cosplay or regular clothes (with anime stuff on them). And there was this cute little girl who was wearing a Kiki (from Kiki's Delivery service) outfit. It was so cute!! ^^ Anyway. We were sitting in this hallway eating our bagel and watching all the weird people and they... were pretty weird. Giant Gothic dude: (to jamie's mom) Do any of you got a cigarette? jamie's mom: uh, no... christine: does it LOOK like I smoke?! I'm gagging as it IS! Regular guy with glasses: (to me) I like your glasses! christine: O.O uh... thanks... O.O ellis: lol So, we went to go sign up and each of us got a sheet where you put your name and stuff. It also had a place where you put a nickname, and I was wondering which nickname I should put there, so I decided to put Sabrina (my fanfiction name). I told Ellis to put Sephora and she did. Ellis said "Wouldn't it be weird if someone here KNEW us?" Christine: O.O (I seem to be doing that a lot lately) Anyway, so we got these name tags (I put Sabrina instead of Christine) and we went downstairs. There wasn't a LOT of things, but there was a hallway with a bunch of really good artists. There was this one booth where this guy was painting all these anime characters on rocks. Ellis and Christine: ooooo... Jamie: sweet.... And he was also selling bracelets, necklaces and pins. There happened to be a "sesshoumaru" bracelet (ellis bought that) and the pins were only $1 EACH! Woot! I bought 5 (1 for Caitlin, cuz she couldn't make it and 4 for me). Ellis also bought 3 Sesshoumaru pins and Jamie bought a Ranma 1/2 pin with both of the Ranmas. Then, we went into... THE SHOPPING AREA. I went in with about 25 something dollars... I left with 74 cents. There was so much stuff! Everything from blankets, to mangas, to t-shirts, to plushies, to pocky, to videos, to key-chains, to etc... I got a BRAND NEW Kyo shirt that JUST came out. ($18) It has his face on the front... ^w^ it's so cool and I also bought Ellis a Sesshoumaru painting (Jamie thought that he was a girl. Ellis: O.O >D DIE!) And Ellis got a Sesshoumaru plushie (hee hee hee). There was also a shirt that said "I can't dance without arrows" like in DDR, but I couldn't afford it. I thought I could just make one like that. Afterwards, we went to an Evanston mall (in hopes of seeing a movie), but there weren't any good movies, so we decided to act like total idiots and play on the little dragon thingy. Then, we walked around, ate Pizaaaaaaaaaaaaaah and icecream, then went into a Makeup store called Sephora (hahahaha). Which is where Ellis originally got her name. Then, we smeared chemicals all over our faces and went home. FUN! thus my day. -.- TOMORROW! I AM GOING TO WEAR MY NEW KYO T-SHIRT AND SCARE THE BOYS TO DEATH!
