my whiny/gripy entry

Wow. Long time no write. Been bogged with homework, school, my sister playing her freaky Nancy Drew game. Sigh...

Today, my band had two concerts. We have three sections of our band: beginners; for the first time kids, returning; for kids from years before, and combo/jazz/advanced, i have no idea what its actual name is. I'm in returning and combo/jazz/advanced.
The music is really hard for me. I play bells (with mallets) and a keyboard. The beat is all screwy and I mess up all the time. So, today during our concerts, I was pleased to find that I hardly messed up (hardly). My mom came up to me (i was standing next to Caitlin (flute) and Jaclyn (clarinet)) and says "Good job Christine." Then goes on to praise Jaclyn and Caitlin to pieces. "Wonderful! Great Sustained notes! What timing!" etc. I know I shouldn't be jealous, but I am. I am just no good at this stuff. I wish I could quit but my parents won't let me. I am probably the worst at timing in the combo (why am i in this combo, again? who's idea was this? (ps; it wasnt me))... and one of the girls is in 5th grade.

Now this entry has turned into one of those whiny/gripy entries.

Hopefully Jaclyn and Caitlin and Sammy won't see this. You guys are so much better than me! Good job! You should sooo stay in band and get even better!

Gah. I have no talent.

I can read music.
I can draw eyes.

that's pretty much it.
